Peter White, President of the Scone Polo Club writes:
It is with enormous surprise and great sadness that we learn of the sudden passing of Roger Sawyer this morning. Roger was diagnosed with health problems within the last couple of months and unfortunately it has taken the better of him within a very short period of time.
Roger has been involved with the Scone Polo Club for well over 30 years and was instrumental in securing the investment property on Dartbrook Road on behalf of the Club in 2012/13. We will all miss his familiar face at the Polo .
John Wayland of Windsor Polo Club added: Roger was a passionate enthusiast for the game of polo. He gave many hours of service on the committee and on the ground.
The funeral will be held this coming Monday 21st December at 2.30pm at St Lukes Anglican Church in Scone.
