Results: Gunnedah Annual Tournament, 1 & 2 September 2012

In the A Grade Final for the Gunnedah Polo Club Cup, Ellerston defeated the Downs team by 7.5 goals to 6.  The beaten A Grade teams played for the Kibah Cup and Scone A defeated North Star by 6 goals to 5.

In the B Grade Final for the CH Edwards Cup, Branch Creek narrowly defeated Gunnedah by 6.5 goals to 6. The beaten B Grade teams played for the WJ Maslin Memorial Trophy and Goondiwindi defeated Tamarang A team by 4.5 goals to 4.

In the C Grade Final for the KC Murchison Cup, Quirindi defeated the Gunnedah B team by 8 goals to 6.5. The beaten C Grade teams played for the Presidents Trophy and Scone B defeated Tamarang B team by 6 goals to 2.

Gunnedah is pleased to announce 12 teams will compete over the weekend, 4 teams in each of the A, B & C Grades. We wish all teams the best of luck.  Please see the team list attached above.

9th August: Dear Polo Club Members,

On behalf of the President and Committee of the Gunnedah Polo Club, it is my pleasure to invite your Club to nominate teams and or individual players to play at our Annual Polo Tournament, to be held on the 1st and 2nd September.

A Grade will be five chukkas and B Grade four chukkas. Nominations for A Grade teams will be $400 per team and other Grades $320 (ie $10 per chukka per player). We expect A Grade to be in the vicinity of 6 goals. Please contact Phil Clift on (02) 6744 5744 or 0427 445744 with your nominations before the 28th August.

Lunch and bar facilities will be available on both days for all players, family and friends, Gunnedah Polo Club look forward to seeing you at our Carnival.
