The Wellington Annual tournament was held recently with beautiful weather & played on a superb playing surface.

Unfortunately we could only muster 5 teams, which is half of what we had last year. Some players were unavailable & others were playing at another tournament. This lack of support makes it very hard for us to run & not profitable.

The final of the B grade saw Tamarang - 1. Mellisa McCarthy 2 .Russell May 3. Jimbo Henry 4. Dennis Lee defeat Ellerston 1. Colin Campbell 2.Hamish Cottier 3.Simon Hill 4.Cameron Morse by 4.5 to 4 and Tamarang defeat Wellington 1.Scott Turnbull 2. John Barton 3 .Joe Curran 4.Ant Barton/Buster Morse by 4.5 to 4.

The final of the A grade saw Scone 1.Murray Louise Easton 2.Sam Gunn 3.Angus Gunn 4. Jim Gunn defeat Gunnedah 1.Simon Barton 2.Barry Moule 3.Wayne Glennie 4.Bernard Cuskelly by 9 to 8.5 in a very close match at the end with Scone scoring the final goal in the last 10 seconds.

Winners of the pony prizes were A grade Wayne Glennie, B grade Jimbo Henry & 0 goal player or less by Murray Louise Easton.

Special awards were also presented to our 3 new life members Geoff England, Michael Barton & John Barton (who at 73 is still playing)
