International Matches

In recent years, Australia has played Chile, England, India, New Zealand, South Africa, and Zambia. Tests in Australia have been played at Windsor Polo Club, Richmond since 2002 and from 1957-2001 at Warwick Farm.

Federation of International Polo (FIP) World Polo Championships - Australian Representatives

Every four years, FIP holds World Polo Championships at 14 goal level. There are Zone Playoffs followed by Finals. The list (click on Related document) is of Australian Representatives to all FIP World Cup Zone play-offs and Finals series.

Sydney Royal Easter Show Polo

3 a-side polo was first introduced at the Sydney Show in 1939 and has since then remained a feature of the Easter Show conducted by the Royal Agricultural Society of New South Wales. Many of the games are played under lights on the small showground allowing spectators to get close to the action. It has remained a highlight of each show and attracts big crowds. Until 1997 it was played at Moore Park and since 1998 at Homebush.

Trophy awarded at the Easter Show:

  • Polo Gold Cup Perpetual Trophy - Awarded to the winning team competing in the Royal Easter Show Polo Teams Challenge.
