Call for Nominations – Hector King & Morton Cup 2026
Polo NSW looks forward to hosting our first tournament of the 2026 Autumn Season.
This year, the Hector King Cup will be played alongside the Morton Cup, with the Hector King serving as the 8goal tournament and the Morton Cup as the 14goal.
In recent years, the Hector King has been staged in conjunction with the Countess of Dudley Cup as a separate 8-goal event. Historically, however, the 8-Goal Alec Macleod Trophy is the recognised 8-goal division of the Countess of Dudley Cup.
In honour of Alec Macleod’s legacy as a long-serving NSWPA Tournament Manager and international commentator, the Alec Macleod Trophy will return to its traditional place as the 8-goal tournament in the Spring, alongside the Countess of Dudley Cup.
Polo NSW is now calling for nominations for both the 14-Goal Morton Cup and the 8-Goal Hector King Cup, commencing on 10 April, with finals culminating on Sunday 19 April in the Hawkesbury Basin.
- Each team must provide a suitable umpire pony at the centre table 10 mins before the game.
- Please make sure that all umpire ponies provided are suitable (i.e. not green, unfit, too fresh, or quirky). Any umpire ponies provided that are deemed unsuitable will result in a yellow card to the team captain and a $200 fine.
- Wet weather clause: 20% of entry fees will be retained in the event of cancellation.
- Ground fee refunds will only be applicable if games are cancelled by the tournament committee
