Donald MacIntyre Cup Draw 13 September

In the late 1880s, Donald Macintyre of "Kayuga" in the Muswellbrook/Scone region experienced polo in England and introduced the sport to Australia. He organized the first practice in 1888 and later established the Scone Polo Club in 1891, where he served as its president until his passing in 1902.

The Donald Macintyre Cup is named in his honor, commemorating his pioneering efforts in establishing polo in the Hunter Valley, particularly in Muswellbrook and Scone.

This weekend, 16 teams will compete across various grades, with the A-grade teams playing for this prestigious trophy.

On-site, there will be various food and beverage options available for purchase. Green Seed Grocer, a local favorite, will set up their cozy corner bright and early at 8 am. They will be ready to serve steaming cups of freshly brewed coffee alongside a tempting array of delectable breakfast options. Come lunchtime, the Clubhouse will fire up its BBQ grill around midday. Additionally, there will be a fully stocked bar with EFTPOS facilities available. The Racing and Footy events will be shown on television throughout the day.
