Riverlands Polo: Autumn Season Wrap Up

After a jam packed season of Polo in the Hawkesbury with Windsor hosting the 'Hawkesbury Cup' as well our usual scheduled events, we can all finally 'down tools', close up the fields and all take a well earned break.  Riverlands Academy Chukkas will wrap up this Sunday with an Aussie BBQ and a few drinks at The Clubhouse before Luke, Francesca and I head overseas on Monday for a month to recharge.  A few highlights from the Autumn Season to follow and some key dates for the diaries.... 

Highlights from this past Season include a soggy victory for Luke and his team at the The Melbourne Cup, A Grade winners at the Gundalong Tournament held at Garangula and a big congratulations to Luke for winning the pony prize with his champion string of ponies. 

We also enjoyed some great country style polo with two weekends away at Jemalong not to mention back to back, great, fun tournaments every weekend in between held in the Hawkesbury. 
 

Riverlands Networking Night in Paddo
We thought you still might need your polo fix during the off season, so pencil in a catch up with like-minded polo players at the Royal in Paddington on July 19.

Ride for a Cure
Riverlands are proudly supporting friends; Rob, Jack, Ed and Henry achieve their goal to raise $100,000 for MS Research Australia and the Global Campaign 'Kiss Goodbye to MS'.  The brothers from Scone are competing in the longest and toughest horse race in the world, The Mongol Derby.   If you would like to join us and show your support for the boys, come along to their Varandah Bar luncheon with MC, Vince Sorrenti on 27 July.  Please contact Nicola to book tickets before they sell out!

Next Introductory Clinic - 14th & 15th July 2017 
We're pleased to confirm our next introductory clinic will be held on the second weekend in July.  We have already taken a few bookings, so if you're keen to take part, please contact us to book in.
We will also kick off our Academy Chukkas the following weekend, so keep your fitness up over the off- season to get straight  back in the saddle.

Out and About

We'll start off next season by taking a couple of teams up to see our friends on the Northern Circuit with a trip to Tamarang for their Tournament on 18th & 19th August.

Accommodation and Friday night dining at Graze @ Willow Tree has been booked, please contact Nicola ASAP if you would like to come along and play.

We are also in the process of organising a polo coaching trip to Luke's brother's Polo Club at Reignwood in China.  Please email Nicola if you would like more information.
