A memorial service for John Rydge will be held at the Northern Suburbs Crematorium at 10-15am on Friday 30th June.

It is with great sadness that I write to inform you that John Rydge passed away on Sunday 25 June evening at the Prince of Wales Hospital, Randwick after a long battle with illness. John was a wonderful supporter of the club and he will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

After playing polo at Windsor Polo Club at Richmond for some years, John and Susie purchased a farm at Chichester and moved to the Dungog district to operate an Angus cattle stud. John was instrumental in reviving Wirragulla Polo Club in 2003 after many years of dormancy and the club owes it’s current existence primarily to John and his vision. John served as president of the club from 2003 – 2006 and was made a life member of Wirragulla Polo Club in 2007.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Susie and the children at this sad and difficult time.
