We are looking for a young male groom/ player to help us for our 2019 season.  We live on a farm outside Pietermaritzberg, Natal, South Africa.  We would require the successful candidate to start at the end of April to the end of October. We are a 40 horse yard.  We require a player who can play our younger horses and groom.  We do have other men who clean stables and tack.., so this job would suit someone who loves bringing on young horses. Our season is very busy and polo tournaments or practice are on most weekends.

Job Description :

-Looking for a young male player / groom to help with a 40 horse polo yard in South Africa.

- The season is from April to October 2019.

- Full board, lodging, vehicle & travelling money.

- The work requires riding and playing the young horses.  There is another groom who sorts stables etc.

- Must have excellent riding skills

- Must have grooming experience

- Must be friendly and happy to integrate into a family of 5.  3 children aged 11, 9, & 8 who all ride and play kids tournaments.

We will interview via skype or telephonically.  Would also suit a young guy who wants a gap year.  I am an Australian who has lived in South Africa for 17 years.  My husband worked and played in Australia.  As I said above we all play.  He is currently playing off a 3.
