It was an incredible two days of outstanding women’s polo in the Hawkesbury Basin, as Polo NSW proudly hosted the 2026 Women’s Championship. Players from across Australia and around the world came together to showcase their exceptional talent, making for a truly memorable tournament.
We extend our sincere thanks to Rowena Rainger for her dedication in managing and overseeing the tournament, as well as preparing the draws. A special thank you to Katie Edmeades for her invaluable support coordinating horses and sponsorship. We also acknowledge Bridget Maritz and Sam Thomson for their timekeeping and third man duties, along with the umpires for their professionalism throughout the event.
Our gratitude goes to Muddy Flatts, Wal Ashton and Peter Huston for the use of their fields, and to Jim Gilmore for his outstanding work preparing the Troika playing surface.
A heartfelt thank you to our generous horse lenders — Jess Martin, Alec White, Indi Bennetto, Lance and Jess Shepard, the Dowling family, and Pip Fitz-Henry. Your horses performed superbly and played a vital role in the success of the championship.
Finally, we extend our sincere appreciation to our sponsors for their generous support. Your contribution plays a vital role in making events like this possible, and we are truly grateful for your continued commitment to women’s polo.
